CARAMELIZED APPLE QUARTERS 
3 apples (any kind), peeled and cut into quarters
3 tbsp. butter, no substitute
1 c. sugar

Caramelize the sugar to amber color, put in apples, and stir until coated. Reduce heat and stir constantly. Add butter and stir for 1 to 2 minutes longer. Butter a glass pie dish and put the caramelized apples in. Serve with whipped cream.
