SOURDOUGH WAFFLES 
1 c. sourdough starter
2 c. flour
2 c. water or milk

Mix this the night before in a glass bowl.

Next morning: 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 c. melted butter 1/4 c. dry powdered milk (do not mix with water) 1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 2 tsp. water

Night before: Mix starter, flour and milk

Next morning: Take out 1 cup starter. Store in a jar (covered) in the refrigerator.

To the remaining starter add egg yolks, dry powdered milk and melted butter. Stir. In separate bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff. Add dissolved soda to starter mixture and stir. Then fold in egg whites. Cook in waffle iron about 3 minutes.
