1 c. hot water
1/3 c. red cinnamon candies (Red Hots)
1 pkg. cherry jello
1 1/2 c. applesauce (almost all of 1 lb. can)

Dissolve candy in hot (boiling) water and then dissolve jello in it. Cool a bit. Add applesauce and pour into mold or dish. Chill.

You can...when set, frost with 3 ounce package of Philadelphia cream cheese to which 2 to 3 tablespoons of salad dressing has been added.
