WAIKIKI MEAT BALLS 
1 1/2 lb. ground ham
2/3 c. cracker crumbs
1/3 c. onion
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 c. milk

Ground beef or half ham, half beef can be used.

Mix ingredients well. Shape into balls using about 1 tablespoons of meat mixture. Brown and cook in 1 tablespoon oil. Remove from skillet; keep warm. Pour fat from skillet.

SAUCE:

2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 (13 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained, reserve juice
1/3 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/3 c. green pepper, chopped

Mix cornstarch and sugar; stir in juice, vinegar, and soy sauce until smooth. Pour into skillet; cook until mixture thickens. Boil 1 minute. Add meatballs, pineapple, and peppers; heat thoroughly. Serve with rice. Serves 6.
