GOOD 'N SPICY MEATBALLS | |
2 c. cornflakes (crushed into crumbs) about 1/2 cup crumbs 1 lb. ground beef 2 tbsp. catsup 2/3 c. nonfat dry milk 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 egg 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. water Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients. Shape into small (about a level tablespoon) meatballs. (48 to 50 for a pound of ground beef.) Place in single layer in baking pan. Bake in 400 degree oven about 12 minutes or until browned. Place cooked meatball in Spicy Sauce and simmer until serving time. SPICY SAUCE: 2 tbsp. pickle relish 1/4 c. catsup 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 2 tbsp. chopped onion 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 c. water Combine ingredients in 3 quart saucepan. Simmer over moderate heat about 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Add Good'n Spicy Meatballs. keep hot hot until serving time. |
