OKRA PILAF 
1/2 lb. bacon
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 1/2 c. okra
1 1/2 c. rice, cook to make 3 c.

Fry bacon. Saute onion in 4 tablespoons bacon drippings. Put in okra; add 1/4 cup water. Cover and cook until okra is tender. Crumble bacon and put into mixture. Put all ingredients into rice. Mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste.
