DEEP DISH FRUIT PIE 
Mix 2 cups fresh fruit with 1 cup sugar and let stand, or use one can fruit pie filling (21 ounces).

Melt 1 stick butter into 2 quart baking dish.

Stir together 1 cup sugar, 1 cup self rising flour and 1 cup milk. Pour over melted butter. Do not stir. Pour fruit on top. Do not stir. Place in oven heated to 325-350 degrees and bake 1 hour or until golden brown.
