HAMBURGER-CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 lb. onion, chopped
6 tbsp. rice (raw)
3/4 c. cubed cheese
2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans tomato soup
2 soup cans of water
4-6 c. shredded cabbage
1 sliced carrot

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef and onion together; add soup and water, stir. Add rice and simmer 5 minutes. Arrange cabbage in bottom of 9 x 13 inch buttered pan. Add carrot and cubed cheese on top. Pour meat mixture over all this. Do not stir; cover and bake 1 1/2 hours.
