SETTLER'S BEANS 
1/2 lb. bacon
1/2 lb. ground chuck
1 sm. chopped onion
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. catsup or chili sauce
1/4 tsp. mustard powder
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
2 tbsp. molasses
1 c. kidney beans
1 c. butter beans
28 oz. pork and beans

Cut bacon in small pieces, brown in skillet, add ground chuck and onion, brown in skillet.

In separate large baking bowl, mix sugar, catsup, mustard powder, vinegar and molasses. Drain beans and add to sugar mix. Add pork and beans and bacon, meat combination. Mix mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand for a short time before serving.
