1 c. chopped dates 3/4 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. butter 1 egg, well beaten 2 1/4 c. Rice Krispies 3/4 c. black walnuts or pecans Flaked coconut Mix dates, sugar and butter in large, heavy skillet. Place on low heat until dates are almost melted. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat and immediately add rice and nuts; mix well. Let cool. Roll in small balls. Roll in coconut Pack up to take on your next hike! |
