SPICY CORN CHOWDER | |
2-3 med. potatoes, peeled & diced 1 med. onion, chopped 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped 1 lg. can whole kernel corn 1 lg. can cream style corn 2 cans milk 2 tbsp. butter 1 1/2 c. cubed ham (Turkey ham can be used for lower cholesterol value) Boil potatoes and onions in small amount of water until tender (5-6 minutes). Add other ingredients and season with a bay leaf, several whole cloves, salt and pepper. Simmer 20-30 minutes. Serve with corn bread and a salad. Good cool weather meal. |
