SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS 
2 lg. cans Contadina tomato puree
2 lg. cans Contadina crushed tomatoes
3 heaping tbsp. oregano
2 tbsp. sugar
1 bay leaf
3 to 4 cloves garlic
2 to 3 green peppers
Sm. amount of water
6 hot sausages, browned
1 med. onion

Combine all ingredients except peppers. Cook covered on low, stirring occasionally for about 4 hours. Slice peppers and add peppers and meatballs to sauce. Cook for 2 hours.

MEATBALLS:

1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
3/4 c. Italian bread crumbs
1 tsp. oregano

Combine all ingredients. Shape into balls and put under broiler for 5 to 7 minutes. Turn and cook 5 to 7 minutes longer. Add to sauce.
