“TOLL OATS COOKIES” IS IN:

TOLL OATS COOKIES 
A Chewy Cookie.

1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375°F

Cream margarine. Add sugars, egg, water, and vanilla. Sift flour and baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture and blend thoroughly. Add oats, chocolate pieces, and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a baking sheet.

Bake at 375°F for about 10 minutes. Do not overbake.

Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
