PICKLED GREEN BEANS | |
1 gallon unseasoned, partially cooked green beans 3 lbs. or less sugar Cloves of garlic, chopped Sliced onions White vinegar Pack beans in layers in a gallon jar, adding a layer of sugar, a bit of garlic and sliced onions between each layer of beans until jar is filled. Fill jar with white vinegar. Put lid in place and gently roll the jar from side to side until the sugar dissolved. Refrigerate and allow the beans to marinate for several days before opening. Will keep for weeks. (If using canned green beans, pour off liquid.) |
