CHOCOLATE CREME DE MENTHE
SQUARES
 
FIRST LAYER:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
4 eggs, beaten
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
1 c. flour, unsifted
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix above in bowl. Put in buttered 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Cool.

MIDDLE LAYER:

2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
2 tbsp. green creme de menthe
1/2 c. melted butter

Beat together until smooth. Spread on first layer.

TOP LAYER:

6 oz. chocolate chips
6 tbsp. butter

Melt together. Let cool 20 minutes. Pour on top of middle layer. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes. Cut in small squares. Serve or freeze.

Refreezes well.
