CHOCOLATE CREME DE MENTHE CAKE | |
1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 4 eggs 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (16 oz.) bottle Hershey's syrup 1 tsp. vanilla 1 stick butter 2 c. powdered sugar 4 tbsp. creme de menthe 1 c. chocolate chips 6 tbsp. butter Cream sugar and butter; add eggs, flour, salt, syrup, and vanilla. Pour into a 13 x 9 inch pan (greased and floured). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool in pan. Mix butter, powdered sugar, and creme de menthe; stir until smooth. Spread on cooled cake. Melt chips and butter in double boiler or in microwave for 75 seconds. Let cool. Spread on top of creme de menthe layer. |
