BUDAPEST BEEF 
2 tbsp. paprika (Hungarian, if possible we use 1 tbsp. hot Hungarian and
tbsp. sweet Hungarian)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 (4 oz.) jar pimento, sliced or chopped, undrained
2 lg. onions, sliced in rings
2 lg. garlic cloves, minced
1 lb. beef roast, tenderized if necessary
2 tbsp. butter

In Dutch oven brown meat well on all sides in butter. Combine all spices. Coat meat on both sides, using half the seasonings on each side. Cover with pimentos, onions and garlic. Add enough water to cover ONLY THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN, about 1/2 cup. Cover. Bake at 325 degrees until tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
