WOW, this is a wonderful recipe. This IS a much better quality playdough than the store brand! It is extra soft and pliable and when my 3 year old grandson plays with it in his hamburger maker, it worked beautifully. Its much easier for him to press it through the shape presser and he enjoys it so much more. Thanks so much for making this available to us, it's great! :)

I didn't think cooking dough would be worth the effort, but all I can say is WOOOOW. I have never experienced the pleasure of playing with warm dough. It was heavenly. My son said "I am going to make mittens out of this!". Our substitutions were using coconut oil (its what we use for everything) which made it smell wonderful, and the addition of a few drops of lavender essential oil which also added to the sensory experience, but is a natural antibacterial (my son has a cold and is coughing, but its great to add anyway!).
THANKS!

Made this play dough recipe with my 4 year old son this afternoon and he's having a blast with it! it came together very fast and was quite easy. I used 1 pkt of kool-aid concentrate for the coloring which gives the play dough a great scent. The next time I make it though I'll dissolve the drink crystals in the water before adding the flour mixture to it.

Does this have to be put in the fridge or can it be left out? Thanks!
