SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES 
1 c. soft shortening, part butter
2 eggs
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Blend all dry ingredients, stir in. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll ball in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoon cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
