SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES 
1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix soft shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift together remaining ingredients and add. Chill dough and roll into balls. Like walnuts and roll in this mixture: 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Bake on ungreased sheet at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
