SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES 
1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs and blend well. Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt together. Add to creamed mixture. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of a small walnut. Roll balls in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.
