FRESH APPLE CAKE 
1 1/4 c. Wesson oil
1/4 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, grated
3 c. diced apples

Combine oil and sugar. Add well beaten eggs. Stir together dry ingredients. Add milk, vanilla and fold in nuts and apples.

ICING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 sm. can Pet milk
1 stick butter

Mix granulated sugar, milk and butter. Cook until melted then add brown sugar. Boil about 4 minutes. Beat until cool. Ice cake.
