DRIED APPLE STACK CAKE 
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 pt. molasses
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. fat (lard)
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. ginger

Mix all eight ingredients; add flour, enough to make a stiff dough (6 or 7 cups). Roll out and cut or pinch off ball and put in iron skillet with hand press to make a thin layer. Will make several layers. Bake at 425 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool, stack with cooked, dried apples or applesauce.
