SLOPPY JOES 
2 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. finely chopped onion
3 tbsp. butter
3 (12 oz.) bottles chili sauce
4 tsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tbsp. and 1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. granulated sugar

Cook meat until red color disappears; drain off fat. Saute onion in butter over low heat for about 3 minutes. Combine all ingredients and cook, uncovered, for 1 hour. Spoon onto large sandwich buns, makes 18 sandwiches.
