| POKE - A - DATER - CAKE | |
|
1 1/4 c. chopped dates 1 c. hot water Add together and cool. Set aside. 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 eggs Cream together the above. Stir in 1 3/4 cups flour and 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda. Add the dates and water mixture. 1/2 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. nuts Sprinkle on top of cake 1/2 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes in a 9 x 13 inch pan. | |
