GREEK APPLE PIE
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
6 lg. baking apples (McIntosh work well or enough to fill 9 inch deep dish pie shell)
Salt & cinnamon (1 tbsp.)
1 prepared 9 to 10 inch deep dish pie shell

TOPPING:

5 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. quick oatmeal
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar with dash of salt

Boil together the sugar, water and cornstarch until thick. Add the cinnamon and a dash of salt - set aside and let cool. Peel and core apples. Slice into pie shell. Pour sugar, cornstarch water mixture over apples.

TOPPING: Mix all ingredients together. This should be like a cookie dough consistency. Take large golf ball size scoops and flatten between your palms. Spread over apples. Continue to do this until you've used all the topping. Piece together to make a crust on top of apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
