APPLESAUCE MEAT BALLS 
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
2/3 c. applesauce
3 tbsp. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sage

Combine egg, milk and bread crumbs; let stand awhile to soften, mix with remaining ingredients and shape into balls and put in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix well 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup water. Cover meatballs with soup mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 45-60 minutes.

A rumor is about as hard to unspread as butter.
HUBBLE HOUSE MEATBALLS

5 lb. hamburger

Make into small balls. Salt and pepper. Slowly fry and drain off grease.

SAUCE:

1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
1 can tomato sauce
1/4 c. Worcestershire
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke (or less)

Pour sauce over the meatballs and simmer 3-4 hours.
