LEMON BREAD | |
1/2 C butter 1 C sugar 2 eggs beaten 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 C flour 1/2 C milk 1/2 C chopped nuts grated peel of one lemon Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Dust nuts and lemon peel in a little flour. Alternately add dry ingredients with milk. Add nuts and peel. Divide into 2 small greased and floured pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until done. TOPPING: Lemon juice from one lemon, 1/4 C sugar. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour over loaves as soon as they come out of the oven. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan. ENJOY! |
