DIANE'S GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1/2 lb. chopped bacon
1 onion, chopped fine
1 c. flour
7 or 8 c. water
1 c. vinegar
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. salt
10 lbs. red potatoes

Saute bacon, take out when done. Saute onion in the fat. When soft and transparent add the flour, salt and pepper. Mix well into the fat. Then add water a few cups at a time. Mix well into flour mixture. Then, add vinegar and sugar. Cook well, pour over potatoes that were cooked and sliced. Put bacon in last.
