3 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and butter and add eggs. Mix dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients to butter and sugar mixture. Beat until smooth. Add vanilla. Cook in 3 cake pans at 350°F.

Icing:

1 stick butter
1/3 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 small Pet milk

Note for Icing: Will be runny when you pour on cake, but will thicken as you spread!

Beat until cooled down. Put on cake.
