HOMEMADE ICE CREAM (1 1/2 GALLONS) | |
3 qt. milk 3 c. sugar 1 can sweetened condensed milk 4 eggs, beaten 4 junket tablets 3/4 tbsp. vanilla Pour milk into pan and heat to lukewarm. Combine the sugar, condensed milk, eggs, junket and vanilla; and pour into warm milk. Let stand until thick. Pour into ice cream freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions. Yield 1 1/2 gallons. |

I strongly recommend using the Junket instruction and use the water before adding the Junket tablet to the mixture. Not using water before adding may result in the tablet not dissolving properly and thus not getting the right thickness desired.
