PEPPER STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. round steak
flour, salt, pepper, for coating
1 (8 oz.) can tomatoes
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 small garlic clove, minced
1 tbsp. beef gravy base (bouillon)
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 large green peppers, cut into strips
1 3/4 c. water

Cut meat into strips. Coat with flour, salt and pepper, and brown in hot oil. Drain tomatoes, reserving liquid. Add reserved liquid, water, chopped onion, garlic and gravy base to meat. Cover and simmer 1 1/4 hours. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and green peppers, cut into strips. Cover and simmer an additional 5 minutes. Add cooked tomatoes and cook 5 minutes more. Serve over hot, prepared rice.
