SHOO-FLY PIE 
3/4 c. light molasses
3/4 c. boiling water
1/2 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Dissolve baking soda in boiling water. Add molasses and vanilla. Combine sugar, flour and Crisco to make crumbs. Pour 1/3 of liquid into unbaked pie crust. Add 1/3 of the crumbs. Repeat until all is used up. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve warm.
