SQUASH ROLLS | |
1 c. milk 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 pkg. dry yeast 1/4 c. water 1 c. mashed squash 4 1/2 to 5 c. flour Heat milk, butter, sugar and salt until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in 2 tablespoons warm water. Stir in milk mixture and 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Mix in flour to make dough easy to handle. Place in greased bowl. Cover. Let stand until dough doubles, about 1 1/2 hours. Shape into rolls. Let rise 30 minutes. Bake at 400, 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 2 dozen rolls. |
