SQUASH ROLLS 
1 c. scalded milk
1 c. mashed butternut squash
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 yeast cake, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
About 5 c. flour

Mix all ingredients together except flour. When well mixed add flour a little at a time.

Let rise until double in warm place.

Punch down and form into rolls.

Let rise again. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
