SQUASH AND APPLE BAKE 
1 butternut squash (about 2 lbs.)
3 MacIntosh apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. salt

Cut squash and remove seeds and fiber. Peel and cut in 1/2 inch slices. Peel and core apples and cut in 1-inch slices. Arrange in 9x13 inch ungreased baking dish. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

Mix butter, melted with brown sugar and salt and put over top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees until squash is tender, about 1 hour.
