HEARTY BREAKFAST OATMEAL (WITH
VARIATIONS)
 
2/3 cup quick-cooking oats
1 1/2 cups water
dash of salt
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tbsp. white sugar
1/8 cup raisins
1/8 cup chopped pecans
1/2 apple, chopped

Add oats, salt and water to appropriately size microwavable bowl. Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Result will be slightly soupy, but will thicken with time. Add remaining ingredients and enjoy!

This makes one large bowl of oatmeal.

Variations: Substitute milk for water, brown sugar for white sugar, chopped dried apricots for raisins, chopped walnuts for pecans, and sliced banana for apple, if desired.
