Breakfast Monster Cookies

These cookies are tasty but it took peaking in the oven constantly to check because this recipe does not tell you how long to bake them. 25 minutes is the magical time.

Taste was great, but cook time was off. Also, the cookies spread too much. I did the second batch as bars, and they were infinitely better! Cooked for 22 minutes.

Wow, this makes a lot! We used a very large jelly roll pan and a 13 x 9 glass pan - came out wonderful, baking time well past previous estimates -- over 35 minutes for either pan configuration! Deep brown and still a bit puffy coming out of the oven, dense and moist when totally cooled

Awesome! I have modified this a bit with 1/2 cup butter and 1/2 cup applesauce. This makes them healthier and softer. I have used 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 butterscotch chips. I have added Craisins and coconut. I liked them with more fruits, but my sons prefer only 3-4 fruits. Crunchy and creamy peanut butter work well. I would also add nuts next time.
