GERMAN CHOCOLATE-CARAMEL BARS 
1 German chocolate cake mix (don't follow directions on box)
6 oz. chocolate chips
2/3 c. evaporated milk
3/4 c. butter
1 c. nuts (pecan or walnuts), chopped
50 caramels

Melt butter, then mix into the cake mix 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Spread 1/2 of this mixture into a greased 9x13 pan. Cook 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven; top with nuts and chocolate chips. Melt the caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk together and spread on top of chips and nuts; cover with the rest of the cake mix and bake 22 minutes at 350 degrees.
