EASIEST PEACH COBBLER | |
2 cups white sugar, divided 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 tbsp. baking powder 1 cup milk 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 4 cups fresh sliced peaches (or 20 oz. can peach pie filling) 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice ground cinnamon, for sprinkling Preheat oven to 375°F. Melt butter in a 13x9-inch pan. Set aside. In a medium bowl mix 1 cup of white sugar, flour, baking powder and milk. Mix well then pour over the melted butter in pan. Do not stir! Heat to boiling the remaining cup of sugar, peaches and lemon juice, stirring constantly. Pour over flour mixture - do not stir! Sprinkle cinnamon over top. Bake at 375°F for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Submitted by: M. Williams |
