1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
4 tsp. sugar
4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Cream sugar and butter. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Stir in butter mixture. Combine sugar and cinnamon (to roll cookie balls in). Shape dough in 1 inch balls, roll in sugar mixture, place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
