PA. DUTCH COOKIES - SNICKERDOODLES | |
1/2 c. sweet butter 3/4 c. sugar 1 egg yolk 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. walnut pieces 1/2 c. raisins 1 whole egg 1 2/3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. nutmeg Cream butter and sugar. Beat in whole egg and egg yolk. Sift flour and soda with 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg. Mix into batter. Fold in nuts and raisins. Drop from a teaspoon 2 inches apart onto a buttered cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 5 dozen. |
