HONEY-HEARTS 
300g honey
150g brown sugar
4 eggs
300g almonds, ground
150g candied lemon peel and orange peel
2 tbsp. rum
1/4 tsp. coverpowder, cinnamon, mace gingerpowder (each)
2g carbonate of ammonia
500g flour

Mix well eggs and sugar, add other ingredients. Dissolve carbonate of ammonia in a little water, put it into the mixture, at last add the flour. Put the dough in a cool place overnight. Next day roll it out on some flour and cut out hearts. Bake slowly at a temperature of 180 degrees C.
