SUPER EASY DATE CHEWS | |
1 cup sweetened condensed milk 1 cup chopped nuts 2 cups shredded coconut (unsweetened) 3 cups chopped dates 1 tbsp. confectioners' sugar for rolling Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine all ingredients and bake for 25 minutes. Allow to cool and roll into small balls. Then roll in confectioners' sugar. Place on wax or parchment paper to set. Optional: Sesame-Date Chews. Add 1/4 cup sesame seeds (taste first to be sure they are fresh). Stir and bake as above. Servings: 24 Nutrition (per serving): 264 calories, 16.4g total fat, 11.8g saturated fat, less than 1g polyunsaturated fat, 338.8mg potassium, 29.5g carbohydrates, 23g sugar, 5.5g fiber, 4.1g protein, 4.3mg cholesterol, 23.7mg sodium, 65.1mg calcium: 36.3IU Vitamin A: less than 1mg Vitamin C, 1.1mg iron Nutrition per serving with sesame seeds added: 273 calories, 17.2g total fat, 11.9g saturated fat, 1.2g polyunsaturated fat, 345.8mg potassium, 29.9g carbohydrates, 23g sugar, 5.7g fiber, 4.4g protein, 4.3mg cholesterol, 23.9mg sodium, 79.7mg calcium: 36.5IU Vitamin A: less than 1mg Vitamin C, 1.4mg iron. |
