SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350°F 15 minutes before baking.

Cream together butter and sugar well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add flour gradually, alternating with sour cream. Stir in vanilla.

Bake in a greased and floured pan at 350°F until a toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean (about 45 minutes).
