CHERRY DELIGHT COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup
2 egg yolks
2 egg whites
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. finely chopped nuts
Candied cherries

Mix 1 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in 1/2 cup Karo light corn syrup, 2 egg yolks, and 2 1/2 cups flour. Chill. Roll into 1 inch balls. Dip into slightly beaten egg whites, then 2 cups finely chopped nuts. Place on greased baking sheet. Press candied cherry halves into centers. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
