CHERRY WINK COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste)
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. coconut, not packed
1 c. maraschino cherries, drained & chopped
Corn Flake crumbs (no specified amount)

Cream shortening and sugar. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture. Stir in the pecans, coconut and the maraschino cherries. Drop by teaspoonful into corn flake crumbs. Toss lightly to coat; form into balls.

Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 12 to 15 minutes.

This is my favorite Christmas Cookie. My family has made these cookies since my mom found the recipe on a box of corn flakes in the 1950's.
