RANCH PUDDING 
1 c. brown sugar, packed
2 1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. milk
1 1/4 c. Bisquick
1 c. raisins or chopped dates
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix 1 cup brown sugar, water and butter in saucepan. Boil 5 minutes. Pour into 8 inch square pan. Mix rest of ingredients in bowl. Spoon batter on top of sugar mixture. It will sink into the liquid and will spread out as it bakes. Bake 45 minutes. Serve warm with plain or whipped cream. 9 servings.

Family favorite for special occasions for years. Have passed this easy recipe along to many friends and relatives. It's yummy cold (if you have leftovers). I make mine with raisins and without nuts, due to allergies. Can easily be doubled in larger baking pan.

Love this recipe. Have been making it for over 50 years. My sister-in-law gave it to me. I use dates and walnuts. :-)
