1 egg
1 c. sugar
1 c. strong coffee
2 c. raisins
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt

Sift together dry ingredients. Fold into remaining ingredients and mix well. Add raisins last. Bake in a greased loaf pan at moderate oven temperature for 1 hour.
