RICH CRESCENTS 
1 c. butter
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 cake yeast
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1/4 c. milk, scalded & cooled
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. finely chopped walnuts

Mix yeast, 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar and milk together. Let stand 5 minutes. Mix flour and butter as for pie crust. Add egg yolks and yeast mixture. Blend thoroughly. Wrap and refrigerate overnight. Beat egg whites, add sugar and nuts and mix well. Divide dough into 4 parts. Roll each into circle 12" in diameter. Spread 1/4 of filling on each circle. Cut each circle into 12 pie shaped wedges. Roll each wedge from outside in. Curve slightly to form a crescent. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.
